The Storyteller (Read Aloud Club)

Books are wonderous treasures holding opportunities to explore vast universes, meet aliens, solve crimes, capture lightning, behold magic, and partake in thrilling adventures while safely tucked into a blanket. We read bedtime stories to engage little ones and most of us lose that connection as kids grow older. Reading becomes a challenge rather than an enjoyable experience and, for some, books become a bane.

It only takes one book to hook us into becoming readers for life. Finding that book, on the other hand, is a challenge. This isn’t a “reading club”, it’s a club for listening ears and broadening minds through fun, fictional chapter books (that… may or may not contain some classical children’s literature and modern high fantasy.)

The Storyteller (club supervisor) weaves written words into auditory adventures so kids still have the chance to explore books across a variety of genres without the strain of reading and finding the books themselves. This club is designed for 8-12 year olds and only the first book in a series will be read. If they’re interested in continuing the series, well… they’ll just have to read the books themselves. 🤍 Held Monday 3pm-4:30pm
